I’m just testing a new theme for the Coast Bladers website mainly because I think this one will make it more organized, and it’s nicer as well. The header at the top is also just a test it will probably not be used if I do redesign the main site. One of the main reasons I’ve been thinking this is because showing Pages is optional, so we can just have categories instead of pages.
The difference between categories and pages are that pages are static and don’t change unless we edit it, which is really tedious and we usually never get around to it. Categories or just… well categories for posts to go in. So if you want to look at every post to do with the category Video then just click it and it will come up with all the posts with video’s in them. This will also be easier for us because say we want to announce a new event, we don’t have to post it on the front page, then go back and forth copying and pasting bits from the original post onto the event page. Instead we just post it in the Event category.
Thats all the changes that I’m thinking about at the moment, I’m just really testing things out because the site is a bit disorganized at the moment. If anyone reads this, and you’ve got a suggestion, just post it in the comments section, or e-mail mac_crow_sk8@yahoo.co.uk and I’ll reply with why I think it’s a bad idea…. I mean I’ll see what I can do about it XD
